If you’ve been joining the War of Emperium but you keep on dying or you feel like your equips are just not WoE-ready, this guide is here to help!
We list down essential gears and cards that are great for GvG as well as tips on how to survive.
Overview
Unlike leveling up or farming for Zeny, you want to focus on survivability during WoE. GvG wars are like massive PvPs—very chaotic and you’ll be taking lots of damage and AoE skills from all corners of the map.
Remember that players are Demi-Human race, so damage reduction from Demi-Human effects are essential. You’ll also want to get status effect resistance cards that prevent you from being Frozen, Silenced, etc.
Here’s a list of all useful and essential gears and cards that you can equip your character to maximize your survivability during guild wars.

Final Tips
- Survivability is most important during guild wars. Obviously you’ll want a good balance between damage and tankiness, but your high damage output and crowd control (CC) and elemental magic skills will all be useless if you are always frozen, silenced, or dead waiting for a resu.
- Focus on Demi-Human and magical damage reduction gears and get decent status effect resistance items and cards.
- Bring lots of Panacea, foods from the Black Cat Cafe, and learn the Adventurer skill “Stay Calm” which lets you re-equip or repair your gears right away.
- If you’re a glass cannon paper class like Wizards, just stay behind the clash and let your tanker LKs and Paladins do their job.
- You’ll also want to bring a couple extra items that you can switch depending on the current situation.
- Familiarize their effects and choose equips that fit with your role, job class, build and play style. Gears that increase your mobility for example are great for breaker roles.
- Finally, don’t forget to upgrade, enhance, refine and enchant your equips!
Conclusion
War of Emperium is one of the most challenging events in Ragnarok M: Eternal Love. There are lots of great rewards when joining the GvG battle and most players consider it to be their end-game goal in the game where your skills and gears are put to the test.
