Why build a Hunter class?

The Archer/Hunter job is one of the most powerful classes in Ragnarok X: Next Generation in terms of raw damage. In fact, this applies to almost all Ragnarok games too!

Hunters are known for one of the highest DPS outputs in the game, thanks to supportive skills that buff their DEX and AGI, as well as the ability to use different types of arrow elements.

The Hunter class is perfect for new beginners who want to farm mobs quickly, do MVP hunting, or even do a bit of PvP.

Hunter Stats Build

Hunters mainly care about three stats:

• DEX — increases ranged damage, Hit % and Haste (reduces skill cooldown)
• AGI — increases attack speed
• LUK — increases chance to deal Critical damage and proc your beast to attack

However, the recommended stat allocation for a pure DPS build is:

• Max DEX
• 1 AGI
• 1 LUK

Why? Because the attack speed (ASPD) bonus from AGI and the crit rate benefits of LUK both rely on your base damage, which is mainly based off your DEX.

A faster attack speed and more crit procs are useless if the base damage they build upon is too low.

In Ragnarok X, the ASPD bonuses from AGI and the crit bonuses from LUK are just not worth it—Hunters are better off maxing their DEX and then rely on gears and cards to enhance their ASPD and Crit rates.

Hunter Skill Build

For the DPS Hunter skill build, we recommend prioritizing the following skills:

• Improve Concentration 10

As a general rule of thumb, you should almost always max your passive skills such as Owl’s Eye and Vulture’s Eye, as well as active buffs like Improve Concentration.

These skills are what make Hunters DPS powerhouses compared to other job classes.

Double Strafe will be your bread and butter farming skill in the early game when your ASPD is still low. You can get a few levels of Arrow Shower if you need an AoE skill to clear out mobs quickly.

Later in the mid/late game, these will be overpowered by the Sniper’s offensive skills. Note that in Ragnarok X, you can reset your skill points and use your Archer/Hunter skill points on just Sniper skills only.

Finally, the rest of your skills will depend on your playstyle. Hunters usually have a pretty straightforward skill tree, but feel free to experiment around other builds that suit your playstyles!

Best Equipment & Cards for Hunters

As mentioned above, your gears will be your main source of ASPD and Crit.

F2P and new players can go with White gears at the start, but aim to craft Blue weapon and armor sets whenever possible to get more value out of refinement bonuses. Eventually, you should transition into Purple and Gold sets at the later stages of the game.

Recommended Hunter Weapons

For weapons, we recommend using Longbows since they provide Final ASPD bonuses, as opposed to Shortbows which only provide Haste (CD reduction) bonuses.

Make sure to always tier up your weapons to as max level as you can, and use the Equipment Stat Transfer when needed to pass on the item’s stats to a new one.

Lastly, Hunters have a huge advantage of being able to switch arrow elements easily. Make sure to check our Elemental Weakness Guide and bring along the correct arrow quivers with you!

Recommended Hunter Armors and Accessories

Again, white sets should be enough in the early stages until you’re ready to invest on Purple or Gold sets, making sure to tier up your gears whenever possible.

As usual, get cards that give Final ASPD % and Final Crit % bonuses. You can use White cards temporarily in the early game, but Blue cards should be your endgame.

In this guide, we will teach you the most efficient methods to level up your character fast, as well as some tips on how to maximize your EXP gain in the game.

Leveling up in Ragnarok X is pretty straightforward, but if you use these tips and tricks, you surely be ahead of other players!

1. Do Main Quests

Once you start playing with a new character, the first thing that you need to do is to complete the Main Quests.

These quests are very easy to complete, but they give a huge amount of EXP.

Just by doing these main quests, you should reach Level 25 already in just a few hours.

These missions will also let you unlock the main storyline of Ragnarok X where you can learn more about the lore of the game.

2. Complete Mission Board Quests Daily

One of the fastest ways to level up and your main source of EXP is from the Mission Board quests.

Each day, you can take 10 quests via the Mission Boards located in every city. These are simple tasks that give you Experience Points, Zeny and Odin’s Blessing as rewards.

Some quests even give double the rewards, obviously you should try to prioritize them!

These quests reset every 5 AM server time. Clearing your Mission Boards should be one of the first things you do in your daily routine.

3. Maximize Mission Board EXP Rewards

Here’s a tip on how you can maximize EXP rewards from the Mission Board quests!

The rewards you get from these quests are based on your level—the higher your level, the more EXP you will get.

So, if your character is about to level up, do not take all of the quests in the board at once!

Instead, just take enough quests that will allow you to level up. Once you level up, then take the other quests—this time, the rewards they give will be a bit higher!

4. Do Chamber of Commerce (COC) Missions

Chamber of Commerce or COC Missions are ten weekly missions which also give you EXP rewards. They can be accessed via the Carnival menu.

Similar to Mission Boards, the rewards are based on your level. For example, at level 40 you get 27,500 Base and Job EXP, but at level 41 you get 30,000.

Therefore, to maximize the rewards, we recommend only doing the COC quests at the end of the week (Sunday) so that you will be at your highest level for that week.

On Mondays to Saturdays, focus on doing other methods to level up and gain EXP, so that when you’re ready to take the COC quests, you will receive better rewards!

5. Grind on Monsters efficiently

It’s not a Ragnarok game without the endless monster farming! Like other Ragnarok mobile games, Ragnarok X comes with an auto-battle feature.

The best farming location will base on your character level, job class and the amount of EXP the monster gives.

Make sure you also know how to counter your target’s elemental weaknesses, so you can kill them much faster. Check out this Elemental Weakness Guide for more info!

Finally, always use Odin’s Blessing as much as possible to earn 5 times more Zeny and EXP.

If you have run out of Odin’s Blessing, you focus first on other activities that give more EXP, such as clearing out daily quests. Without Odin’s Blessing, monster farming doesn’t give out too much EXP and you’re better off doing other tasks instead. So make sure you only AFK grind (without OB) if you don’t have anything else to do for the day!

6. Use your Odin’s Blessing wisely

Once you reach Level 23, you will unlock Odin’s Blessing. Using Odin’s Blessing will increase the rewards you get from grinding: you’ll get five times the EXP, Zeny, item drops.

As you might have guessed, this will give you a massive boost in EXP gains when farming mobs and as we mentioned above, you should only grind on mobs when you have Odin’s Blessing available, as much as possible.

To maximize your Odin’s Blessing consumption, make sure you only turn it on when hunting monsters that give you the best amount of Base and Job EXP. Make sure to also turn it off when doing Quests.

Lastly, take note of monster sizes—you consume more Odin’s Blessing points the bigger the monster size:

• Small monsters consume 1 Odin’s Blessing
• Medium monsters consume 2 Odin’s Blessing
• Large monsters consume 3 Odin’s Blessing

This means that, when looking for mobs to target, you should take into account how much OB points they consume—the lower, the better!

The “Recommended Training Points” section can help you with finding the best mobs to farm.

You can get up to 600 Odin’s Blessing per day by staying in Prontera. You can also gain 140 Odin’s Blessing for each Mission Board quest.

7. Take note of Level Gap EXP penalty

In Ragnarok X, you will only get 100% of the monster EXP if it is 3 levels below or above your current level.

Hunting monsters beyond that level gap will give you an EXP penalty and you will get lesser experience points:

• Monster is -3 or +3 levels from your base level — 100% EXP
• Monster is -6 or +6 levels from your base level — 80% EXP
• Monster is -8 or +8 levels from your base level — 60% EXP
• Monster is -9 or +9 levels from your base level — 40% EXP
• Monster is -10 or +10 levels from your base level — 20% EXP
• Monster is -11 or +11 levels from your base level — 10% EXP

Make sure to only hunt monsters that are within the 3 level gap from your base level for maximum leveling efficiency.

8. Always Prioritize JOB EXP

Try to prioritize leveling your “Job Level” first. This means hunting mobs that have a higher Job EXP output than Base EXP.

Why?

Focusing on Job Levels will allow you to advance to the next job class much earlier.

You need to grind 50 Job Levels to job change to the 2nd job class, and another 50 for the 3rd job class.

While Base Levels can increase your stat attributes and allow you to equip better gears, advancing to the next job class will give you a new set of powerful skills that will significantly boost your farming potential.

9. Clear all Carnival activities

Finally, try to complete all the daily activities in the Carnival menu. Clearing these quests will give you EXP and Zeny.

If you don’t have much time in the day to play, do your best to at least accomplish the Mission Boards, COC quests, and the Daily Instance—a boss fight dungeon that’s accessible once you reach Level 21.

Luckily, unlike other Ragnarok games, Stamina is not used for hunting monsters and leveling up. However, you’ll still need a lot of Stamina to do “life skills.”

Why do you need Stamina?

As mentioned, Stamina is only consumed to perform life skills, not when grinding mobs.Some of these activities include fishing, gardening, mining ores, cooking foods for buffs, crafting items, catching pets, smelting materials, or upgrading your equipment.

As you may already see, these life skills which require Stamina are equally as important as grinding mobs!

But how can you actually earn Stamina?

How to get more Stamina in Ragnarok X

Here are three tips to gain Stamina in Ragnarok X: Next Generation.

1. Use Odin’s Blessing

Odin’s Blessing is a special buff that gives you 5x the Zeny, Experience, and drop rates from grinding. Odin’s Blessing points are consumed when killing monsters.

Whenever you turn on your Odin’s Blessing, you will earn 1 Stamina point for each point of Odin’s Blessing consumed.

Keep in mind that although they are very similar, Odin’s Blessing and Stamina points are different: Odin’s Blessing is only consumed when hunting monsters, while Stamina is for life skills.

Also, make sure to only hunt monsters that are within 6 levels below or above your current level, otherwise Odin’s Blessing will not work and you will gain lesser EXP.

2. Hunt Medium or Large Monsters

Another tip to earn Stamina faster is by hunting Medium or Large sized monsters.

Why? Because hunting Medium and Large monsters will consume more Odin’s Blessing points, which means it will also give you more Stamina!

• Small monsters — 1 Odin’s Blessing = 1 Stamina
• Medium monsters — 2 Odin’s Blessing = 3 Stamina
• Large monsters — 3 Odin’s Blessing = 3 Stamina

3. Join the Tavern Minigame

The second method to get Stamina in Ragnarok X is by doing the Tavern arm-wrestling Minigame in the Carnival.

If you win a match, you will be rewarded with 1 Stamina Potion, which gives you 60 Stamina if you consume it.

You can get up to 2 Stamina Potions every day, but VIP players can get up to 3.

4. Consume Stamina first before using Odin’s Blessing

For our last tip, make sure to always consume your Stamina first before auto-battling while using Odin’s Blessing.

If your Stamina bar is full and you go monaster grinding with Odin’s Blessing, the Stamina you would have gained will just go to waste!

Episode 7.0 is coming to Ragnarok M: Eternal Love, and a new region called Luoyang City will be introduced to the game.

This new region also comes with new farming maps, monsters and new items.

In this guide we’ll teach you directions on how to access the following new maps: Luoyang City, Sunset Shoal, Silverfish Lake Bottom, Wasteland and Moonlight Cave.

How to go to Luoyang City

To go to Luoyang city, just go to Umbala town and take the portal in the middle of the map.

You’ll then arrive in Luoyang, the Dragon City.

Oh and if you don’t know where Umbala is, it’s just 1 south, 1 west from Morocc town. Check out this article for a guide.

The Luoyang region will unlock a new main story quest line.

It is also a gateway to several new farming maps in Episode 7. Here’s how to access them!

How to go to Flower Street map

Flower Street lets you access the new Luoyang farming maps in Episode 7.

To go to Flower Street, take the south portal from Luoyang city.

How to go to Sunset Shoal map

Sunset Shoal is the first farming map in Luoyang.

To access Sunset Shoal map, take the west portal of Flower Street. It is located 1 south, 1 west from Luoyang city.

The Sunset Shoal field map is home to several new monsters ranging from Level 140-150+.

How to go to Silverfish Lake Bottom map

Silverfish Lake Bottom is the second farming map introduced in Luoyang region.

To go to Silverfish Lake Bottom, just take the middle portal in Luoyang city.

In this underwater-themed map, you’ll encounter new monsters that range from Level 145–156.

Aside from Sunset Shoal and Silverfish Lake Bottom, the Luoyang region will also feature two more farming maps: Wasteland and Moonlight Cave.

In these maps, you can farm materials needed for the 4th job class skill tree. Here’s how to access them.

How to go to Wasteland map

Wasteland is located two maps south of Louyang. From Luoyang city take the south portal, then take the south portal again of Flower Street.

Wasteland is a new map that’s inhabited by mutated, stronger versions of regular monsters in Ragnarok Mobile as well as 2 new MVPs. They range from Level 150-152.

In this map, mobs will drop materials which you will need for the 4th job skill tree.

In addition, they also drop cards equivalent to their normal monster versions.

For example, Maple Forest, the mutated version of Wormtail, will drop Wormtail cards.

How to go to Moonlight Cave map

Moonlight Cave is another new farming map in Luoyang region.

Moonlight Cave can be accessed by taking the south portal of Wasteland—or simply, 3 maps south from Luoyang.

Similar to Wasteland mobs, monsters in Moonlight Cave are also Level 150 and drop materials needed for 4th job skills.

They also drop cards equivalent to their regular versions.

Here’s the summary list of all June 2020 Events in Ragnarok Mobile.

Event 1 – Event Puzzle

June 1–July 7, 2020 / One character per account

In this event you’ll be solving a total of 9 puzzles that you can obtain from 9 different missions Some of these events only occur on specific dates, so make sure that you’re present on the day of each events.

Here are the rewards you can get based on how many puzzles you collect:

This event is limited to one character per account.

Event 2 – Let’s Play with Q

June 1–8, 2020 / One character per account

In this event, go to NPC Mysterious Lady Q in Prontera Square and talk to her to activate the event.

You’ll be playing a Rock Paper Scissors with Child Envoy NPC, and if you win you get the following rewards:

• Q’s Music Box
• Glitter Rune Stone

Event only available by one character per account only.

Event 3 – Sign-in Event

June 1–15, 2020 / One character per account

In this 5-day quest event, you can do the daily sign-in mission quests from NPC Child Envoy in Prontera Square. You’ll start with the quest “Confession Star.”

Clearing each of the daily quest will reward you with:

After finishing all 5 missions, you’ll get:

• Dreamy Rocking Horse Blueprint

The event is only allowed to one character per account only. Make sure to accepted mission by June 15, 2020 and clear them by June 22, 2020.

Event 4 – Super Lady’s Friend

June 8–22, 2020 / One character per account

In this event, you can go to Poring Island and accept the quest called Super Lady’s Friend.

The rewards you get from this event depends on how many times you clear the missions. The more times you clear it, the higher the chance of getting the rare item rewards:

This event is limited to one character per account.

Event 5 – Awaken! The Super Lady

June 22–29, 2020 / One character per account

On June 22 to 29, 2020, you can donate several gems to the NPC Queen in Prontera Square.

Each time you donate gems, you will increase your friendship with the queen.

Once your friendship progression reaches 30%, 50%, and 100%, you will receive a special item:

• 30% progress — Q’s Toy Box
• 50% progress — Q’s Toy Box
• 100% progress — Q’s Toy Box

These are the gem materials that you can donate to the Queen in this event:

• Topaz
• Amethyst
• Aquamarine

One character per account can only donate once.

Event 6 – The Naughty Yoyo

June 25–28, 2020 / Each character once per day

On June 25–28, 2020, players can go to Prontera West every night at exactly 9:00–10:00PM (Philippines Time GMT+8) to eliminate the Naughty Yoyo. You will then get loots and rewards.

Defeating “Naughty Yoyo” will also have a chance to obtain Queen’s Luggage. This loot will not be affected by the battle duration, each character can only loot one per day, and has a chance to get Event Exclusive headwear Leaf Rosette.

Each character can only loot once per day.

Event 7 – The Big Cat Store New Items

June 11–18, 2020

If you’re looking to catch up on some levels for your characters in Ragnarok M, especially that 4th jobs are coming, then this item is great for you!

On June 11–18, 2020, the Refined Job Potion will be available at Big Cat Coin Store for 2 Big Cat Coins and a maximum of 999 purchases per account.

The Refined Job Potion contains 4 million Job EXP per potion, it can only be used by players of Base Lv 80 and above.

Event 8 – Q’s Lucky Pack

June 18–25, 2020

On June 18–25, 2020, the Q’s Lucky Pack item will be available for 15 BCC in Big Cat Coin Store.

Q’s Lucky Pack will contain the following items when opened:

• 6x Oracle Crystal
• 4x Oracle Dust
• 25% chance of obtaining 1x Q’s Handwriting Card

This token can be exchanged for limited headwear:

• Alice’s Magic Bunny (5 Tokens)
• Princess’ Umbrella, Hand of God, (3 Tokens)
• Mad Hat, Elizabeth in Cage, Poisoned Duke’s Mask (1 Token)

Event 9 – Luoyang Lucky Pack

June 30–July 7, 2020

On June 30–July 7, 2020, the Louyang Lucky Pack item will be available at the BCC Store for 10 BCC each, with a maximum purchase of 100 per account.

The Luoyang Lucky Pack contains the following:

• EP 7.0 Materials (1 Mini and MVP materials)
• 100,000 Zeny

Event 10 – Fantasy Generator Feast

On June 18–July 2, 2020, the Voyager themed costume will be available on Fantasy Generator Feast.

May 25 – June 1, 2020 Weekly SMVP

Here’s the list of SMVPs for this week and the quest items they drop.

What are SMVPs and why should you hunt them?

SMVPs are special MVP monsters in Ragnarok Mobile. Some quests in the game will require you to hunt these SMVPs which drop special quest items. For example, the most common one is the quest for Devil Wings, a powerful and essential end-game equipment. (Related Guide: Step-by-Step Guide on How to Get Devil Wings)

To complete the Devil Wings quest you’ll need to hunt and participate in killing four (4) different SMVPs:

1. Huge Deviling
2. Dracula
3. Chimera
4. Randgris

The tricky part is only one type of SMVP will spawn every week! So it might you at least 3-4 weeks to kill all 4 SMVPs and complete the quest.

Another quest which requires you to hunt SMVPs is the Golden Christmas Bell where you need to kill 3 different kinds of Chepet SMVPs in Toy Factory 2F which also rotate every week:

Runemaster (Rune Knight 4th Job)

Rune Knights will be able to job change into the Runemaster 4th job class. Runemasters are based on the Thanatos lore—they are said to have met Thanatos in a dream and became his successor.

Similar to their counterpart Knight classes, Runemasters are melee classes with a good balance of high attack and defense.

Skills such as Soul Spear and Dark Flame Slash allows them to deal huge physical damage with Shadow element.

A buff skill called Asphyxia drains their HP to 1 HP in exchange for immunity for any damage for 8 seconds.

Divine Avenger (Royal Guard 4th Job)

Divine Avenger is the 4th job class for Royal Guards of the Crusader job tree.

The Divine Avenger job class are melee classes with high amounts of defensive and supportive skills which are great for tanking their team.

They have buffs that grants abnormal status immunity, increased HP, or reflect damage aura. A skill called Divine Protection also lets the Divine Avenger share his healing and regen effects to 5 nearby teammates.

Arcane Master (Warlock 4th Job)

For the Wizard job tree, Warlocks can job change into the Arcane Master 4th job class. Arcane Masters have further mastered their magical abilities through the Library of the Magic Society by using forbidden books.

Arcane Masters have both powerful offensive skills that deal single-target or AoE damage with a wide array of different elements, as well as passive skills that further enhance their magic powers.

A passive skill called Infinite gives a 25% chance that offensive skills won’t have any cooldown or skill delay timers when cast!

Chronomancer (Sorcerer 4th Job)

Sorcerers have mastered the art of manipulating Space & Time and thus can transform into Chronomancers.

While Chronomancers don’t have the raw offensive power of Arcane Masters, they can cast supportive spells such as debuffs or creating Spheres.

The Space Sphere skill gives damage reduction to allies in an area, while Time Sphere increases the skill cooldown and delay of enemies in the sphere.

Soulblade Cross (Guillotine Cross 4th Job)

Guillotine Crosses gained the power of the soul with the help of the Goddess of Death herself and become a Soulblade Cross.

The Soulblade Cross 4th job class can obtain souls whenever they kill their enemies. They can consume these souls to gain buffs, or release them to deal a huge amount of damage. When Soulblade Crosses die, they enter into a Soul Form and linger for a few more seconds depending on how many souls they have.

Coming from the Assassin tree of the Thief class, Soulblade Crosses are good at dealing high burst damage.

Phantom Dancer (Shadow Chaser 4th Job)

Shadow Chasers can job change into the Phantom Dancer class. Phantom Dancers, inspired by the Shadow of Morocc, can generate an illusion called a Night Shadow to fight alongisde them.

Night Shadows not only help in dishing out attacks, but they can also help the Phantom Dancer strip the enemy’s equipment!

Just like Rogues, Phantom Dancers are quick, evasive, and can ambush their enemies by surprise.

Saint (Archbishop 4th Job)

After being blessed by the power of Light & Darkness, Archbishops can job change into Saints, the 4th job class of the Priest tree.

Saints have enhanced supportive abilities that can buff the power of defense of their allies, or debuff enemies especially against Dark and Undead elements.

A skill called Crown of Baldr increases the Saint’s Holy Attack and healing power, while Baptism grants a 3 second invincibility status to resurrected allies.

Dragon Fist (Shura 4th Job)

Shuras will be able to job change into the Dragon Fist 4th job after obtaining the Power of Dragon Blood in Louyang.

Dragon Fists have passive and buff skills that give them enhanced effects.

However, just like the Monk job tree, Dragon Fists are best known for their melee combos and one-hit-KO burst damage, thanks to skills such as Sky Shattering Fist and Sky Dragon Wave.

Lightbringer (Mechanic 4th Job)

After discovering Photon Technology in the ancient city of Juperos, Mechanics are able to job change into the Lightbringer 4th job class.

They harness the power of Photon and artificial intelligence to deal damage, cast supportive abilities such as Stuns and increased defense, or further enhance their Madogear’s capabilities, such as letting the Madogear equip a Lightbringer skill or restoring its HP instantly.

Begetter (Genetic 4th Job)

Genetics were guided by The Great Sage at the Underground Institute to mastered the Mystery of Life. With this, Genetics are able to job change into the Begetter 4th job.

Begetters can synthesize with their Homonculus, further enhance their plant summons and homonculus, debuff their enemies, or cast a channeling AoE damage skill called Crazy Throw.

Stellar Hunter (Ranger 4th Job)

The powerful long-range DPS class Ranger will be able to job change into the Stellar 4th job class. They take advantage of the power of the stars so they never lose sight even in the darkest nights.

Stellars can call meteors from the sky to deal damage to enemies both in an area or on single targets. They also have new passive skills and traps that can inflict debuffs and abnormal status to their targets.

Solar Trouvere and Lunar Danseuse (Minstrel/Wanderer 4th Job)

While Stellars use the power of stars, the Minstrel gained the power of the Sun. Minstrels can job change into the Solar Trouevere 4th job class. Wanderers use the power of the Moon to job change into the Luna Danseuse 4th job class.

Both Solar Trouveres and Luna Danseuses have a powerful skill called Majestic Echo, dealing physical AoE damage that stacks the more enemies take damage from the skill. The best part is each class will reset the other’s Majestic Echo cooldown everytime they use it.

In addition, they have new solo and ensemble songs to play that give buffs or debuffs to enemies.

Finally, an ensemble skill called The End of the Sun and Moon will immediately kill enemy players in a 5 meter area!

Spirit Whisperer (Animist 4th Job)

The Doram race can also job change into the Spirit Whisperer 4th job class, after Animists have mastered the art Spirit Whispering.

This new job class includes several skills that include both offensive and supportive abilities. The Evil Meow Roar skills for example deals 2400% Physical attack damage while removing buff effects and silencing the targets.

Novice Guardian (Super Novice 3rd Job)

Super Novices were accidentally involved in the Space-Time fissure and battled against the Morroc Army. Because of this, the Angel blessed the Super Novices and they can job change into the Novice Guardian.

Novice Guardians continue to gain skills that are based from all other job classes in the game.
