This leveling guide will teach you 9 simple tips on how to level up fast in Ragnarok M: Eternal Love. We’ll also list all other methods to gain lots of levels and EXP without grinding or consuming Stamina.

Using this guide, you’ll be able to level up your character as quickly and efficiently as possible and become a zeny farming machine, or be powerful enough to dominate in Boss Hunting, Endless Tower, PvP or War of Emperium. Read on!

Here’s how to level up fast in Ragnarok Mobile:

1. Clear all dailies & use adventure meatballs
2. Do Main Story quests
3. Get Pet Labor ASAP
4. Get a Mentor for bonus EXP
5. Aim for monsters you can instantly kill
6. Cook & Eat Gourmet food
7. Know your enemy’s element, size and race
8. Enhance, Upgrade, Enchant, Refine your equips

Clear all Daily Quests, use Adventure Meatballs

Daily Quests are an amazing source of EXP.

You can do two Monster Resistance quests per day which gives you 10x EXP rate for a limited amount of EXP.

You also get 10 Message Board Quests per day, and completing each quest gives lots of EXP.

Some Board quests are easy like taking photos or escorting monsters, while some take more time like killing 25 monsters. For Board quests that require farming materials, you can just buy the required items from the Exchange.

Instantly clear dailies using Adventure Meatballs

A great tip is to take advantage of Adventure Meatballs (a.k.a. Riceballs). You can purchase “Mercenary’s Mission” in the Adventure Meatball shop, an item that allows you to instantly clear Message Board Quests.

Usually I do the easy Board quests manually then use the Mercenary’s Mission on “kill 25 mobs” quests.

Adventure Meatballs can be obtained from:

• Reaching 20 Assistant Intimacy points
• Clicking on your Pet frequently
• Pet Labor (Cooking Center)
• Pet Adventure Rewards
• Buy from Big Cat Coin Shop

Do Main Story quests

Main Story quests are the quests with “red” exclamation marks on the NPCs and they give decent EXP.

In early levels, you should always do Main Story quests. However in later levels around 2nd job and above, only do Main Story quests after consuming all your Stamina and Daily Quests. Some main story quests require killing monsters and you don’t want to waste precious Stamina on mobs that don’t give good EXP for your level. (Related: Leveling Spots per Level)

Green quests are side quests and don’t give much EXP. You should only clear them after you run out of Daily and Main Quests.

Get Pet Labor for free EXP Potions

Pet Labor is the best and easiest way to level up fast through EXP Potions. Once you reach Level 45, start using it right away!

Using an item called the Labor Traveling Machine, you can send Pets to Pet Labor.

By sending a Pet to the Item Shop workplace, you can get around 10-20 Base and Job EXP Potions per day, which give MILLIONS of Base and Job EXP in total!

The best part is, you don’t have to do anything: when you wake up from sleep in the morning, say hello to a dozen free EXP potions—instant level up!

You can unlock Pet Labor through the Pet NPC in South Prontera (near the Music Box) at Lv 45.

Get a Mentor for bonus EXP

Getting a Mentor and becoming a Student have huge benefits to your leveling:

1. Mentor can buff their Students with the Adventure Guide item which gives 170% EXP bonus for a whopping 24 hours!
2. Mentors can buff their Students with the Guardian Scroll item, which gives 20 stat points bonus. (Doesn’t work on Transcendent classes)
3. Students get instant bonus EXP points for doing each of the following daily quests:
   • Clearing 2, 6, 10 Board Quests
   • Clearing 2, 5 Time Rifts
   • Clearing Training Ground once
   • Accepting the Adventure Guide Buff once
   • Doing the Valhalla Ruins once
   • Clearing 20, 40, 50, 60 Endless Tower floors

You can only be Mentored if you’re below Level 85.

Aim for monsters you can instantly kill

You only have ~300-360 Stamina per day, make the most out of it!

Aim for mobs that you can instantly kill in 1-3 shot, instead of going for high level high EXP mobs but take 5+ shots to kill. One of the most common 1-hit grinding spots is the Eggyras in Payon Cave 1F.

Another tip is to target mobs with a high EXP per “kill duration” (i.e. amount of time to kill the monster). One of the best mobs that give the highest EXP per HP ratio is Wormtail, Dustiness and Metaller in North Prontera, which is why that map is very crowded.

Important note: “EXP per kill duration” is a better metric than “EXP per HP”, because some mobs might have a higher EXP/HP ratio but is a Neutral type, so you can’t take advantage of elements. Again, it all boils down to instant (or almost-instant) kills.

To achieve instant kills, you’ll need to maximize your damage! The next several tips will teach you how to increase your damage.

Cook & Eat Gourmet food

A lot of players overlook cooking gourmet foods and leveling up their cookbook & taste levels.

What most players don’t realize is that the bonus stats, buffs and HP/SP dischage that Gourmet foods give are very efficient for their price! It’s very easy and cheap to cook foods, even cheaper than crafting, upgrading or buying gears in the short run.

Maxing your cooking and taste levels will also benefit you a lot:

• Higher Cooking/Cookbook levels = better cooking success rates
• Higher Taste levels = increases food stack limit

I highly recommend to start cooking and maxing your cookbook & taste levels as soon as you can.

Always buy ALL ingredients from the Rare Ingredients Shop too because of the daily limits. You will need LOTS of those eventually.

Know your enemy’s element, size and race

Sun Tzu once said in the Art of War: “if you know your enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles.”

Just by knowing your enemy’s element, race and size and using their weaknesses accordingly, you can multiply your damage (and therefore your leveling efficiency) by double or even triple!

Use appropriate skills depending on your targets. For example, Menblatts and Steam Goblins are all Wind element which are weak against Earth skills like Heaven’s Drive and Land Mine. For physical attacker classes, use elemental converters or arrows. (Related: Elements Guide)

Different monster sizes are weak against certain weapon types:

Lastly, use cards that increase damage depending on your target’s race, element and size.

Enhance, Upgrade, Enchant & Refine your equips

Another way to increase your damage is by improving your gear’s stats through:

1. Enhancing – from your bag using zeny, enhance up to your current level, transferrable to other items
2. Refining – via Hollergrehnn, requires Ori/Elu, adds “+” to the item, gives “Refine” stats like Refine Atk or Refine MAtk
3. Enchanting – via Cat NPC in Geffen, requires zeny or Mora Coins, gives random set of bonuses
4. Upgrading – by clicking the red arrow in your item detail window, requires crafting materials, upgrades the item to higher Tiers (I, II, III, End tier)

Use Lightning Chain

The Lightning Chain item allows you to gain double EXP and drop rates by consuming Stamina two times faster.

You’ll want to activate it as much as you can, especially when you don’t have much time to play during the day to make sure you consume all your daily Stamina.

To maximize your Lightning Chain even more, eat Gourmet food and stat dishes along with it so you can kill more monsters faster during the Lightning Chain’s durations.

You can only use 7 Lightning Chains per week. VIP users don’t have that limit.

Overview

• At base Lv. 45 and Pet Intimacy Lv. 5, you can use the Labor Traveling Machine to send your pets to a workplace
• Your pets in labor will give rewards every hour like Base EXP & Job EXP potions
  • They give 100k Base EXP and 10k Job EXP
  • At Level 60, they give 500k Base EXP and 50k Job EXP
  • You can get 10-20 of these potions per day
• Pets are limited to 2 workplaces at a time. You can increase this limit up to 5 workplaces per pet
• Pets have skills that improve their efficiency at certain workplaces. Higher efficiency = faster rewards
  • Take advantage of this. Ex. Lunatics are good in Item Shop, Porings are good in Cooking Center.
  • Check the list of Pet skills here
• Invest on Pets early and put them to Put Labor ASAP!

1. At Lv. 30, talk to Pet NPC in South Prontera

We need to obtain an item called the Labor Traveling Machine to unlock the Pet Labor function.

At Lv. 30, go to Magnus the Pet NPC in South Prontera (near music player) to start the quest. They will teleport you to the Pet Training Grounds to catch your first ever pet, a Poring. Once you catch the Poring, give it a name and hatch the egg.

Finish all their quests and you should get Pet Adventure Guide and Labor Traveling Machine. (Related: Guide to Pet Adventure)

2. Reach Level 45 and Pet Intimacy Lv. 5

To start using Pet Labor you need to be Lv. 45 and your pet should have Intimacy Lv. 5. Use the “Pet” action on your pet every now and then, or feed him with his taming item/cooked foods and your pet should get to Intimacy Lv. 5 in no time.

3. Use the Labor Traveling Machine

Once you’re Lv. 45 with Intimacy Lv. 5, put your beloved pet to egg status by tapping on his icon and clicking Rest (same window as above). Your pet is now ready for work!

Open your Labor Traveling Machine and click the + icon on “Item Shop.”

Select your pet on the left and press “Start”. Now your Pet will start working! Just leave it for a few hours, go grind, do quests or sleep in real life xD

You can check the reward Frequency in the Pet Labor window. At first your pet will give a reward every 55 minutes, but there are ways to reduce this duration which we’ll talk about later. You can unlock other workplaces later too, but for now the Item Shop will do.

4. Wait for a few hours & collect rewards

After a few hours, your pet should be able to harvest a couple of rewards. Click on the Gift icons in Item Shop to open them and voila!

There are many rewards you can get like Emperiums, Lightning Chains and foods.

But what we want are the Base Potions and Job Potions.

When consumed, these Medium EXP Potions will give out 100,000 Base EXP and 10,000 Job EXP respectively. But wait, there’s more!

When you get to base Lv. 60, you will get Large EXP Potions which give times five EXP—a whopping 500,000 Base EXP and 50,000 Job EXP!

Pet Labor Tips

1. Workplace Limit

At first, your Pets can only work up to 2 workplaces. You should always have Pets working in Pet Labor to maximize their potential, so make sure to have at least 3 or more Pets. Check out our guide on how to catch pets successfully: How to Catch a Pet with 100% Success Rate

You can increase this workplace limit by:

• Accomplished Worker Adventure Skill (requires Adventure Class D)
• Master Worker Adventure Skill (requires Adventure Class B)
• Buying the VIP card

In total, you can put pets to 5 workplaces at a time once you unlock other workplaces.

2. Pet Working Efficiency Skills

Pets have passive skills that make them more efficient at certain locations.

For example, Porings are good in Cooking Center because they have a skill Labor: Cooking I which increases their working efficiency in that workplace. Higher working efficiency = faster reward frequency. You can check your Pet’s skills by clicking his icon and pressing “Check.”

3. Pet Intimacy and Base Level improves working efficiency

Again, higher working efficiency = more rewards. So make it a habit to always “Pet” and feed your pets with their favorite items to increase their efficiency.

Ragnarok M: Eternal Love, like all Ragnarok MMORPG games in general, is a very grindy and time consuming game. Therefore, especially with the Stamina system added in the game, it’s important to always be efficient in managing your daily tasks.

Here are some general tips to maximize your time spent in playing Ragnarok Mobile and to progress your character as soon as possible.

Claim free items from NPCs

First thing to do in Prontera is to claim free items from NPCs.

Talk to Miu near the south portal of Prontera to claim free equips as well as the Growth Pack. This will give you free useful rewards every 10 levels, such as the Skill Reset Rod.

Secondly, go to Tylin in the middle of Prontera as she will give you 30 pink ticket vouchers. You can use these tickets to roll the Gacha machine (slot machine) in the lower left of Prontera. Each roll costs 10 tickets, so you can get 3 random Saint items which are very powerful equips that gives 10% bonus exp per piece when equipped. Hopefully you roll a Saint item that’s fit for your desired job class!

Acquire your Adventure Handbook

After job changing to your 1st job class, you can claim your first Adventure Handbook after finishing a quest from an NPC outside the Adventure Hall.

The Adventure Handbook is sort of an Achievements List + Encyclopedia. Whenever you unlock new in-game data such as encountering new monsters, NPCs or locations, it will be added to the handbook and you get Adventure Exp to level up your Adventure Level. This is important as higher Adventure Levels will give you special attributes and skills later in the game!

You can also buy Adventure Skills from the NPC in the top-right of Prontera. Make sure to get the following Adventure Skills as soon as you can:

• Combat Skill I — gives an extra auto-attack skill slot. You should have 3 by then
• Stay Alert — allows you to hold your position when AFK farming and fight enemies (when they aggro attack you or if you hit them with AoE skills)

Prioritize early quests for EXP

At the start of the game, doing quests is the best way to gain EXP and level up as fast as possible. Unlike the old PC versions, Ragnarok Eternal Love is a quest-heavy game and you will mostly do quests rather than auto-attacking monsters especially in the beginning.

There are three types of quests in the game based on the color of the NPC’s exclamation marks:

• Blue — Daily quests. Prioritize these first as they give out the highest exp and item rewards. The most important ones are Message Board and Monster Resistance
• Red — Main Story quests. Prioritize these next as these give great exp and zeny rewards too
• Green — Side quests. Although they don’t give higher rewards, they are also essential as they unlock certain features and skills. Do these when you’ve finished Blue and Red quests

Use your Stamina efficiently

You only have 300 Daily stamina per day and will be consumed every minute you attack monsters. When all your Stamina is consumed, exp and drop rates will be lowered significantly. This is why it’s important to spend your precious Stamina efficiently and plan out your daily tasks.

When you get to higher levels at around 40-50, it is sometimes better to consume your Stamina on leveling and farming for items. Then when your Stamina is consumed, do the quests since you don’t really need Stamina to do quest tasks like talking to NPCs or killing 25 monsters. Check out our Stamina Guide for more info!

Get free Stat and Skill Resets

Take note that you will receive Stat reset (Eternal Rock) and Skill reset items at the following levels:

• Level 30 — Stat reset in Level 30 Adventurer’s Backpack
• Level 40 — Skill reset in Level 40 Adventurer’s Backpack
• Level 55 — Quest
• Level 57 — Quest that requires Evil Horns
• Level 76 — Quest that requires 30 pcs Hand of God

You can also buy Stat/Skill Resets at the NPC for 500,000 zeny. It might sound expensive but once your character becomes a farming machine it shouldn’t be very hard to obtain!

With this in mind, just remember to not be too strict on your stats/skill builds at first! These free stat/skill resets will give you room to experiment on different builds.

Use the Play Dead Skill

Most people don’t know about this, but you can actually obtain a Play Dead skill from an NPC in South Prontera.

You can put it on your auto-skill slot so that whenever your character runs out of SP, he will immediately Play Dead on the ground to recover HP and SP for a few seconds. Check out our Play Dead Guide for more info!

Join/Create a Party

Partying up is recommended in Ragnarok Mobile since it allows you to kill mobs faster. Although the exp will be shared to all members of the party, it will be more efficient since killing mobs almost instantly means you can kill more mobs in a short amount of time, which means more exp. Remember, fast kills low exp > slow kill high exp.

In addition, if you and your party members have the same quests, you will also share item counts and monster kill counts.

Take note though that in order to party up with your friends, you need to be in the same channel. You can change your channels in the NPC at the top-right of Izlude.

Always take photos

Once you finish the Camera quest in Prontera, you will get a free Camera that you can carry around anywhere you go.

Always remember to take photos of new monsters you encounter, or new scenery locations (they will be marked with a camera icon in the map with a red exclamation point), as you will get Adventure Exp for your Adventure Handbook.

Trust me, in the future, you will regret having to go back to every single monster or scenery locations that you didn’t take a photo of!

Buy food items

Don’t be afraid to spend a few couple bucks on food items like Warm Dishes to help you sustain HP and SP when AFK farming, as well as stat boosting items like STR/DEX/INT Dishes. You can buy them at the Food Shops in towns. The slight boost in stats and damage will help you get to higher levels faster and in turn make your character into a farming machine. Talk about high returns on investment!

Use Butterfly/Fly Wings

Similarly, don’t hesitate to spam your Butterfly and Fly wings to get to your destination quickly! BFly wings will teleport you instantly to your Saved location, while Fly wings will teleport you to a random location in the map–very useful for doing quests that involves a lot of walking. Just place it in your item hotkeys by clicking the left arrow button in your Bag window (near the lower right.)

Remember, time is your most valuable resource!
