Lord Knights are one of the most powerful and versatile job classes in the world of Ragnarok M: Eternal Love. They have a great combination of insanely high damage output and defensive tank abilities.
In this guide we’ll teach you how to build your Lord Knight’s stats, skills, equips and runes for all three LK builds: AGI Crit, Bash and Pierce builds.
Overview
There are three main types of Lord Knights and each have their own pros and cons:
- AGI Crit Build — auto-attackers, relies on high ASPD and Crit for damage, little to no SP consumption
- Bash Build — versatile build, relies on high Bash damage, effective vs. small-medium mobs, great for PvP
- Pierce Build — spear-wielding, relies on Pierce skill for damage, great vs. large monsters and MVP hunting
Just a quick warning though, Knights are expensive to build! Runes and certain equips are necessary for them to deal decent damage. If you’re just starting out, we highly recommend a farming Wizard or Whitesmith build .
For Runes, I recommend using this spreadsheet for reference .
AGI Crit Knight Build
Stats Build
- STR 90
- AGI 60
- VIT 40
- LUK 40
For AGI Crit Knights, AGI and LUK will be what makes you an AGI Crit build. However, you’ll want to have at least 90 STR. After all, a fast attack speed and Crit rate won’t mean anything if you don’t have a high base attack damage.
Skill Build
Swordsman
- Sword Mastery 10
- Increase Recuperation 5–10
- Bash 10
- Magnum Break 1
- Taunt 5–10
- Endure 5–10
As a Swordsman, max Bash and Sword Mastery for damage.
Get 1 point on Magnum Break for the bonus +20% damage and Fire element. You only need 1 point here as the buff duration and bonus damage remains the same from Lv 1–10.
For your defensive and tanky skills, get Increase Recuperation, Taunt and Endure.
Knight
- Cavalry Combat 5
- Cavalry Mastery 5
- One Hand Quicken 10
- Aura Blade 10
- Max Taunt/Endure
One Hand Quicken and Aura Blade are your bestfriends to pump your damage and ASPD, giving you a high overall auto-attack DPS.
Lord Knight
- Lord’s Aura 10
- Concentration 5
- Call Of Justice 5
- Sword Parry 10
- Head Crush 10
The rest of the Knight and Lord Knight skills are pretty straightforward—you’ll want as much damage and ASPD buffs as possible.

Bash Knight Build
Stats Build
- STR 99
- VIT 99
Pierce and Bash Knights only need to max two stat attributes: STR for maximum damage and VIT for tankiness and survivability. Just rush for STR as much as possible—you won’t need to take damage if your targets are dead in 1 blow!
You can put a bit of DEX early on for some HIT, but late game you can rely on Runes and the Lord Knight’s Concentration skill for +50 HIT.
Skill Build
Swordsman
- Bash 10
- Sword Mastery 10
- Magnum Break 1
- Taunt 10
- Endure 5 / 9
- Increase Recuperation 4 (if Endure 5)
Bash will be your main offensive bread-and-butter skill (duh). Bash Knights are almost overpowered during the late game. Once you complete your gears and 10 Bash Runes, your Bash will deal an insane amount of damage, capable of 1 or 2-shotting your targets, not to mention the 30% chance to Stun.
A Bongun Card deposited to your Handbook is very essential to increase your Bash damage.
Get 1 point on Magnum Break for the bonus +20% damage and Fire element. You only need 1 point here as the buff duration and bonus damage remains the same from Lv 1–10.
Knight
- Cavalry Combat 5
- Cavalry Mastery 5
- Heart Of Steel 5
- One Hand Quicken 5
- Bowling Bash 5–10
- Max Endure/Increase Recuperation
- Aura Blade 10
Heart of Steel is a great skill for tanking. Leave One Hand Quicken at 5 as a requirement for LK’s Sword Parry. Bowling Bash is an optional offensive skill.
Aura Blade doesn’t affect Bash damage, only auto attacks. But in the late game, there’s a Rune that gives bonus ATK based on its skill level. By then you should have it maxed.
Lord Knight
- Concentration 5
- Lord’s Aura 10
- Head Crush 10
- Call Of Justice 5
- Sword Parry or HP Alight & Frenzy
As a Lord Knight, most of your skills such as Lord’s Aura , Concentration and Call of Justice are all essential buffs to increase your damage further. The rest of the skills are more defensive and optional ones and depends on your preference.

Pierce Knight Build
Stats Build
- STR 99
Skill Build
Swordsman
- Bash 9
- Magnum Break 1
- Increase Recuperation 10
- Taunt 10
- Endure 10
Pierce builds use Spear weapons, so unlike the other Knight builds, switch Sword Mastery for Spear Mastery 10 .
Get 1 point on Magnum Break for the bonus +20% damage and Fire element. You only need 1 point here as the buff duration and bonus damage remains the same from Lv 1–10.
Knight
- Cavalry Combat 5
- Cavalry Mastery 5
- Pierce 10
- Spear Mastery 10
- Heart Of Steel 0-10
- Aura Blade 10
Pierce will be your main offensive skill. The main value of the Pierce skill lies in its size damage modifier—it deals 1 / 2/ 3 times more damage to Small / Medium / Large monsters respectively. That’s why Pierce Knights are great for MVP hunting as MVP bosses are Large-sized mobs.
Aura Blade doesn’t affect Pierce damage, only auto attacks. But in the late game, there’s a Rune that gives bonus ATK based on its skill level. By then you should have it maxed.
Lord Knight
- Lord’s Aura 10
- Concentration 5
- Call Of Justice 5
- Spiral Pierce 10
- HP Alight 5
- Frenzy 5
As a Lord Knight, Lord’s Aura , Concentration and Call of Justice are all essential buffs to increase your damage further. Spiral Pierce is great for hitting Small targets.

Hi. I just want to give some points with agi/crit build.
*if you aim for more crit. Use muramasa/godlen ornament/vinkt bracelet.
*also try to check out blueeve cape. It almost have same flee with undershirt, but it gives str and aspd vs luk from undershirt when upgraded.
*aim for 100+ crit, since other mobs have high crit, also aim for a maximum of 480% aspd.
Btw. This guide was awesome.
Now that runes knight release all i can see is that all skill of it is in favor of spear. Do u think im giving up my agi build and change..
no need to give up, just be patient, We know the future of Ro game, Agi rune knight will rise when they updated new sword for that type, in the end.
Amazing guide. Just my five cents… I’m a agi crit and, for the gear section, I’d just change the shoes for sack teddy shoes, once they boost agi and HP, for sure a better option over rune shoes in any case. For the weapon, besides the ones mentioned, I’d also suggest the Attached Sword/Muramasa, once it boosts critical rate a lot. I actually see Muramasa as more important for a good critical rate than high luck points, once it works directely on the stats and not on % of stats. But I also use cutlus for farming many mobs at the same time with bowling bash, what is great given the boost cutlus provides for the bashes. That’s it. Thanks for the guide 😉
This was incredible! What a great and comprehensive guide. If there are more class specific guides, please let me know where to find them, but I look forward to new ones as they arrive!
my Bash type LK dies fast on bosses. ive got 99str and 80vit. what do u recommend to do? 😀
Max parry skill.
Same with pierce LK build, since LKs gives burst damages, the boss tends to attack the closest high damage players. For pierce type, you must be able to kill the boss within 5-10 secs within the heart of steel/frenzy duration, a good example is the Orc Hero w/c will die easily if you have 500k-1m pierce, but when dealing with bosses where your damage is only 100k-300k you need a lot of high healing items such as honey or better pots, a good strategy can also be applied to let’s say SMVPs, a lot of people are trying to kill it, since you have a good damage you don’t need to continuously hit the boss, you can try stopping and running when the boss starts to attack you and hit back again when the boss changes target. For bash build same techniques apply, just make sure you have enough healing items or support, heart of steel and parry can only save you for a few seconds.
Can you make a guide for Monk/champions?
Please make some guide for hunter/ snipers…
i spent most of my time reading your guide(s) credit for myself that hates reading lol. Thank you
Ivory Lance for Spear Knight. Not Axe.
Excellent guide. Mark as favorite page for ever. Thank you very much!
Question about Ignore Def. as AGI/CRIT doesnt critting ignore DEF already? so should we not invest much into ignore DEF runes?
Crit is 100% ignored def already. No need for ignore def runes
I noticed you advocate Aura Blade base on rune bonus atk.
I have read other guides that state that the bonus damage from the rune is only for your normal attacks and doesnt get stacked in offensive skills like BB or Pierce.
I am conflicted, have you had a chance to test the runes with BB or pierce?
Total of 3 Aura Blade runes could add 150 Attack, a nice boost.
Your thoughts are appreciated!
I already got bongun deposited and got my runes on bash done. Im thinking of going vit on my items like for the armor going for garman plate armor. Through war shoe for shoes and 2 vit necklace to upgrade to endurance necklace for my accesories. Feather berret for head, and HP% increasing headwares. Im bash build 99 vit and 99 str. Is this an okay build or a big No No for bash? Should i stick to the all STR /ATK item build? Will it impact too much damage on my bash? TIA for answering
I tested for bash build. Staunch armor is better than tights. For bash only. And also staunch + staunch ring is better.
great amazing guide agi crit can lure mobs 1hit
Hai, wanna ask, is Aspd (agi) effect on pierce speed?
Hey! Witch build would you recommend for early game?
Thanks, and amazing guide btw!
