Guide to Enchantments in Ragnarok M: Eternal Love

Enchantment is a method in Ragnarok M: Eternal Love to give your equipment items a random set of powerful effects and stat bonuses.

In this in-depth guide on enchantment, we’ll teach you how to unlock Advanced enchantments, how it works, and how to get the rare 4th enchantment.

Overview for Enchantment

In order to enchant your items, just talk to the Cat Friend (Mora) NPC in Geffen. There are three levels of enchantments: Basic, Intermediate and Advanced.

Basic Enchantment

At first, only Basic enchantment is available. You need to be at least Level 40, and talk to Cat Friend (Mora) NPC in Geffen to unlock it.

Basic enchantments only cost 5,000 Zeny per attempt, but they give terrible stat bonuses.

I do not recommend adding Basic enchantments to your gears.

Intermediate Enchantment

To unlock Intermediate enchantments, you’ll need to talk to Cat Friend NPC again and do a small quest.

They give better bonuses than Basic but now cost 2 Mora Coins and 5,000 Zeny per attempt.

Still, I do not recommend doing Intermediate enchantments because they are not worth spending Mora Coins for.

Advanced Enchantment

Finally, we have the Advanced enchantments which can be unlocked at Level 70 by doing another quest from Cat Friend (Mora) NPC.

The quest requires 3 Light Granules, 3 Star Crumbs, and 3 Parts. I recommend doing Pet Adventures or Endless Tower to obtain these, or buy them from the Exchange.

This is the only enchantment that’s worth doing. It will give you a set of 3 random bonus stats per attempt, plus a rare chance to get a 4th special effect called the 4th enchantment. (More details below.)

Advanced enchantments cost 4 Mora Coins and 20,000 Zeny per attempt, so it can get a little expensive.

How to Get a 4th Enchantment

If you do Advanced enchantments to an item, there’s a small chance that you’ll get a 4th enchantment if you get certain combinations of enchantments. For example, if you get a STR and ATK enchantment, you’ll get the Morale bonus effect which gives Ignore Def.

Items with 4th enchantments need to be refined to +6 or above in order to activate the effect. Although +0 to +5 items can still get the enchantments, it won’t have any effect until they are refined to at least +6.

Be warned though that it is very rare to get the 4th enchantment and is solely based on RNG. Some players got their 4th enchantment using 50 Mora Coins while some had to use up 200+ Mora Coins.

How to Get Mora Coins

These are the methods on how to obtain Mora Coins:

1. Buy from Event NPC Shop in Prontera for 50,000 zeny each
2. Convert 10 Friendship Proofs = 1 Mora Coin from Cat Friend NPC’s Friendship Shop
3. For Lv 85+, become a Mentor and get 3 Students. You’ll get Mentor Medals everytime they clear their dailies. 15 Mentor Medals = 1 Mora Coin

To obtain Friendship Proofs, just do dailies and quests (e.g. Rifts, Dojo) and Endless Tower with friends. Make it a habit to always “Add Friend” your partymates so you get Friendship Proofs. There’s a cap of 100 Friendship Proofs obtained per day.
